Grooming was done at Shaganappi the evening of December 8. Tracksetting was completed where the snow was deep enough. Skate skiing lanes are nice and wide! Lower trails north of the driving range are not groomed, and not recommended. Ski with care, as it is still early season conditions with many thin and rocky sections along golf cart paths. When skiing at night PLEASE have a headlamp with you and stay off soft, freshly groomed trails, as the skis sink deeply and those tracks freeze in place. (FYI grooming took one volunteer 4+ hours and there is more to do…SNO hopes to get equipment so we can halve that time by having 2 volunteers out grooming and track setting at the same time go to the SNO facebook page, jobs section, where we’re looking for donations/a Grant Writer…SNO’s wish list is there too!)
